Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) has published notification for recruitment to the posts of lower division clerk (LDC) and upper division clerk (UDC). CCRAS is an autonomous body of the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India. The posts identified are in its council headquarters / institutes, and its sister autonomous bodies namely Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy (CCRH), Central Council for Research in Yoga and Naturopathy (CCRYN) which are also under the Ministry of AYUSH.
Class 12th pass candidates can apply for the post of LDC. Graduates can apply for UDC. Age limit for both posts is 18-27 years as on the closing date of application form.
LDC posts are in all the three organizations, whereas UDC post vacancies are only in CCRAS.
There are 14 vacancies for UDC post in pay matrix level 4. Between UR, SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PWD they are divided respectively with 8, 1, 1, 3, 1, and 2 vacancies.
For LDC, there are 30 vacancies in CCRAS, 21 in CCRH, and 1 in CCRYN; that is a total of 52. UR, SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PWD in CCRAS are respectively 15, 4, 2, 6, 3, 4. In CCRH they are 11, 2, 1, 5, 2, 1. In CCRYN the post is only for UR.

CCRAS LDC UDC recruitment 2019 will be on the basis of written exam, OMR based that will consist of multiple choice questions. For LDC, the test will be followed with a typing test of qualifying nature. LDC exam will be of 100 marks, and the one for UDC will be of 200 marks. In both exams, there will be negative marking of 0.25 for incorrect answers.
Exam for lower division clerk will have four sections with 25 questions of 25 marks each. The sections are general intelligence, english language (basic knowledge), numerical aptitude (basic arithmetic skills), general awareness. The test will be of 90 minutes. For upper division clerk also the test will have four sections, but here the sections will each have 50 questions of 50 marks. The sections in the exam are general intelligence, english language, numerical aptitude, general awareness. Duration will be of 120 minutes. Syllabus for UDC is on page 4 of the detailed advertisement at ccras.nic.in.
Examination will be held at Delhi, Aurangabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Guwahati, Lucknow, Chandigarh.
The council will do selection on the basis of merit in exam, and choices filled.
Last date and time for registration of online application form are December 19, 2019, 5.30 pm.

The application fee is Rs 100 for general and OBC candidates. Fee is exempt for SC, ST, PWD, EWS, women, and ex-servicemen. Mode of fee payment is online.
