Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has once again extended the last date to apply for CTET December 2019 exam. The new deadline is Monday, September 30. Initially the last date to apply was September 18, then it was extended to September 25, and now this is the second extension.
Candidates who have not yet applied for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2019 exam scheduled to be held on December 8 can now register and fill the form until the new deadline. Applicants can pay fee through challan, debit card, credit card until 3.30 pm of October 3.
This is expected to be the last time that application form submission is being extended. There are almost zero chances for the form to be available any longer. This is because the CBSE has also announced that application form correction will begin on the next day of last date of fee payment, that is October 4. Candidates will get a one week window to submit corrections in their application forms until October 10.
CBSE also says that if in case confirmation page is not generated even after depositing the requisite fee, then candidate can approach the Joint Secretary (CTET), CBSE between October 4 to October 10, between 10 am to 5 pm. Such candidates need to bring their proof of fee payment that is candidate copy of e-challan is fee was paid through e-challan.
The date of issuing admit card has not been finalized yet. However CBSE confirms that it will release it by the third week of November. The board has assured through the revised schedule notification that CTET 2019 exam date remains the same, despite changes in application form submission schedule modifications.
Revised schedule repeats, as in the information brochure, that the result of the teacher eligibility test will be released within six weeks of the date of conduct of exam.
The examination time table is also provided. Paper 1 will be held in the morning and paper 2 in the evening. Timings for paper 1 and paper 2 are respectively as explained herein. Entry to exam centre starts at 8 am, 12.30 pm. Checking of admit cards happen between 9 am to 9.15 am, 1.30 pm to 1.45 pm. Test booklets will be distributed at 9.15 am, 1.45 pm. Candidates will be allowed to break the seal of the test booklet to open and take out the answer sheet at 9.25 am, 1.55 am. Last entry to exam center will be at 9.30 am, 2 pm. This is the same time when exam will commence. CTET will conclude at 12 noon, and 4.30 pm respectively for paper 1 and paper 2.
The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). It is mandatory for the candidates to qualify CTET if they wish to be as a teacher for Classes I to VIII in India. Furthermore, the test is mandatory for teaching jobs in Indian government schools. In CTET, there are two papers: Paper 1 which is for teachers of Classes I to V, and Paper 2 for Classes VI to VIII.
