CBSE has extended the date of the application deadline for the scheme of Single Girl Child Scholarship. The Central Board of Secondary Education has extended the last date to fill the application form for CBSE Single Girl Child for Class 12 studies and for the Renewal of Online applications for the Single Girl Child X Pass awarded in 2017.
The last date of the application has been changed to October 15, 2018. So, the candidates can now fill the application form till October 15. For the application form renewal, the last date for the submission of hard copy of the form has been extended to November 15, 2018.
Candidates can see the eligibility criteria and other conditions on CBSE official website.
The application link is available online on the official website cbse.nic.in. On the homepage, candidates can see the tab of “CBSE Scholarship Portal”. Now, click on the tab. After that, the candidates will be redirected to a new window. On that window, the link is preset of “Guidelines and Application Forms/ Apply Online”. Once, the students will click on the link then a new page will be opened. On that page, candidates can see the link to apply online. The links are separate for CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme for Single Girl Child for Class 12 studies, 2018 and for the Renewal of Online applications of CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme for Single Girl Child X Pass awarded in 2017.
CBSE is providing the scholarships to the meritorious girl students who are the single child of their parents under this scheme. So, the female candidates who have obtained 60% or more marks and are continuing the further school education of Class XI and XII can apply for this scholarship. The aim of CBSE is to recognize the efforts of the parents in promoting education among girls through this scheme. Also, CBSE is providing the encouragements to the students who got their names in the merit list.
CBSE has also released a new circular to the students. The circular contains the name of the subjects provided by CBSE (regular and vocational) for Class 10 and Class 12.
The registration process for the board exams has been started. The respective schools are responsible to make their students filling the application form. CBSE board exams for class 10 and class 12 are expected to begin after February 15, 2019.
