Today, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) made an important announcement for the upcoming CBSE class 10 and 12 board exams 2021. CBSE class 10th exams 2021 which were scheduled to start from May 4 have been canceled by the board. The decision has been taken due to the increasing cases of COVID-19, due to which schools are closed in 11 states.
Now that the CBSE class Xth exams have been cancelled, there is a lot of confusion regarding result and promotion to class 11. Though the board has not revealed the details but now the class 10th result will be based on ‘objective criterion’. It will be developed by CBSE over the course of time and will be announced soon.
Apart from this, if a student is not satisfied with their result as per the new criteria then they may appear for exams as well. The exams will be held in 2021 when the situation will be a bit better.
The results of Class Xth Board will be prepared on the basis of an objective criterion to be developed by the CBSE Board. Any students who shall not be satisfied with the marks allocated to him/her on this basis can sit in an exam as and when the conditions are conducive to hold the exams.
Ministry said in a press release
On the other hand for the CBSE class 12th board exams, it has been decided to postpone the examination. The COVID-19 situation will be reviewed on June 1 and a revised date sheet will be released thereafter by the board at its official website, cbse.gov.in. The official notice also reads that a notice of at least 15 days will be given to the students before the start of the examinations.

CBSE Classes 10 and 12 board exams were earlier scheduled to begin from May 4, 2021, onwards. The announcement to postpone and cancel the examinations comes in the wake of rising COVID-19 cases across the nation. Students, parents, and teachers, as well as, several states have been demanding the authorities for the deferment of the CBSE Board exams 2021.
