With the release of CAT notification on July 28, 2018, the dates for CAT Registration 2018 is now confirmed. The registration for CAT 2018 will commence from August 08, 2018. The candidates will have 43 days to fill the Application Form. The CAT aspirants must complete the application process until September 19, 2018.
According to the official notification released for CAT 2018, it has also been confirmed that the exam will take place in one day window in two sessions on November 25, 2018.
To apply for CAT 2018, the candidates must fulfil the basic eligibility criteria for the entrance test. The aspirants must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from any recognised University. Those who are in the final year of their degree examination are also eligible to apply for the exam, provided that they fulfil the basic educational criteria. There is no age limit to apply for the CAT exam.
To register for CAT 2018, the candidates need to first visit the official website at iimcat.ac.in. At the time of registration, aspirants must enter their own personal email id and mobile number. Once the registration is done, the aspirants will receive CAT login details on their registered email id and mobile phone.
In the CAT Application Form, the candidates need to enter their personal details, educational qualification details, communication details, work experience details etc. Also, you need to select the programmes for which you wish to apply for at different IIMs and give at least 04 preferences for the exam test center. Upload the necessary images as per the specifications.
The registration fee for CAT 2018 is payable by online mode only using Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking. Finally, pay the fee and submit the form online.
Common Admission Test or CAT is a national level entrance exam. It is a computer-based test which will be held in two sessions. The total duration of the test is 180 minutes and the test will consist of three sections – Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Ability.
The candidates will be allotted 60 minutes in each section and the candidates are not allowed to move from one section to another. Some questions in each section may not be of multiple-choice type. Instead, direct answers will have to be typed on the screen. To give a better idea to the students to understand the format of the entrance test, a tutorial test will start by October 17, 2018.
