IIIM Kozhikode will start online registration for Common Admission Test (CAT) 2019 today, on August 07, 2019. The registration form will release on the official website, iimcat.ac.in. 11:00 AM: Last year IIM did not provide opportunity to correct details in the application form of CAT. Only photo correction was provided. Hence, candidates should fill the form carefully.
10:30 AM: To apply for CAT, candidates must have an e-mail id, phone number, passport size photograph, and scanned copy of signature.
10:00 AM: CAT 2019 application form has been released. To apply, go to iimcat.ac.in and click on “Register” button under the New Candidates Registration.

9:30 AM: As per the official notice, CAT 2019 application form will release at 10:00 am.

8:00 AM: Only eligible candidates should apply for CAT 2019. Eligibility criteria set by the IIMs indicate that an applicant should possess Graduation degree with a minimum of 50%. However, if the applicant belongs to SC / ST /PwD category then they should have secured minimum of 45% marks. Candidates in the final year of degree can also apply.
Candidates who are planning to register for CAT 2019 should know that it is very important to fill the application form in the prescribed format. To apply, the candidates first need to register by entering name, e-mail id, mobile number, and country. Once the registration is done, the candidates get an OTP via sms and e-mail. By entering the OTP, the candidates can access the login and enter details in the application form of CAT.
The information to be entered include, personal details, education qualification, contact, work experience and more information. All of the details entered should be authentic. Other than the information, candidates will also need to upload photograph, signature, and caste certificate in the form.
Candidates have to scan photograph and signature in 30 mm x 45mm and 80 mm x 35mm size, respectively. The format of the uploaded copy should be JPG/JPEG and it should be of less than 80KB. Candidates who belong to EWS, SC, ST, PwD category have to download format for respective category from iimcat.ac.in and upload it with the form.
The last step for registration is the payment of application fee. The amount of application fee is Rs. 1900. However, candidates belonging to SC / ST / PwD category need to pay Rs. 950. The payment of fee can be done online, via net banking, debit card, credit card, etc.
Common Admission Test (CAT) is conducted by one of the IIMs each year. The exam is held at the national level for admission in MBA / PGPM courses in the IIMs. Apart from the Indian Institutes of Management, the CAT scores are accepted by 200+ B school of the nation.
In the exam, the aspirants are judged on the basis of questions from 3 sections in the exam – Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Ability. The qualified candidates of CAT, are then put through the selection phases of the IIMs that include Group Discussions and Personal Interviews. Some IIMs also conduct Written Ability Test (WAT).
