IIM Kozhikode will close the online application form of Common Admission Test (CAT) on September 18, 2019. With only five days left to apply for the CAT 2019, MBA aspirants across the country are rushing to register at iimcat.ac.in. On the last date of application form submission, the registration link will deactivate at 5 pm.
Once the online registration at iimcat.ac.in closes, there will be no other way to apply for the management entrance exam. The organizing Indian Institute of Management will then directly release admit card on October 23, 2019. The exam is scheduled on a single day, on November 24, 2019.
Graduates with 50%, or 45% in the case of SC, ST, PWD, can apply for the exam. Such students who are in their final year of graduation can also fill the form. A certificate from the principal or registrar of university or institution, issued on or before the date as stipulated by the respective IIM shall be required.
The application fee for CAT 2019 is Rs 950 for SC, ST and PwD candidates and Rs 1,900 for all others. It is a non-refundable amount that can be paid by online mode through credit card, debit card, net banking.
In order to apply for CAT 2019, the candidates need to first register online. In the registration form, you need to fill in details like your name, date of birth, email id, mobile number. Note that your name to be provided in the CAT 2019 registration form should be entered exactly as it appears in 10th or SSC Certificate. Once the registration is done, the candidates will receive the login details at their registered email id and mobile number.

With the help of the CAT Login details, you have to log-in to your account and then proceed to fill in other important details in the application form. Once the details have been entered, you need to upload a scanned image of your passport size photo and signature. After this, proceed to pay the application fee. However, in the preview, verify that the details provided in the form are correct, as, once payment is done, candidates cannot edit details.
It is important to point out that B-school aspirants must ensure that their details entered in CAT 2019 online form are correct. Students often commit errors in data such as name, date of birth, mobile number and email address, which should be avoided – There is not going to be any scope for form correction. Also, test center once selected and submitted by the candidates cannot be changed under any circumstances.
CAT 2019 is a National level test which is being conducted by Indian Institutes of Management (IIM) Kozhikode. It is a computer-based test scheduled to be held on November 24, 2019 in 156 cities. The duration of the test will be 180 minutes and there will be three sections namely – verbal ability and reading comprehension, data interpretation and logical reasoning, quantitative ability. Candidates are allotted 60 minutes for answering questions in each section and they will not be allowed to switch from one section to another. There are some MCQ type questions and some questions in which the candidates need to type the answer using a virtual keyboard.
