Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK) has announced that the CAT 2019 correction window will open tomorrow, that is September 28, 2019, at 10 am. Candidates can then login to re-upload photographs and signatures. Last date to avail this facility will be September 30, 2019, 5 pm. CAT 2019 applicants can edit their photograph and signature from September 28, 10:00 AM to September 30, 5:00 PM.
In order to edit the images or rather re-upload it, the candidates have to visit the official website of the exam iimcat.ac.in. On the homepage of the website, the candidates need to click on the “Login” button. In the next screen, they need to log in by entering their user id and password. On submitting the login details, a candidate dashboard will appear. Click on the relevant link for uploading the images and upload your photo and signature as per the specifications and format.
The image correction facility provided by IIMK is free of cost. This means that candidates need to not have to pay any extra amount to reupload the correct images. Candidates must upload correct images before the last date.

One of the reason due to which an applicant photo/ signature is rejected can be the image is if it is not as per the specification or format. Another reason could be that the image is blurred. Hence, it is important that after re-uploading the images, check that it fulfills the specified guidelines of an image.
As per the telephonic conversation with the officials, it has been confirmed that it is a one-time correction facility provided to the candidates. After submitting the fresh images, candidates cannot re-upload image. Also, IIMK will not provide online facility for the candidates to edit details in the CAT 2019 application form.
Now, at the time of re-uploading the images, candidates must ensure that their photo should be in JPEG/JPG. The file size should be less than 80 KB, dimension of the image should be 30 mm (width) x 45 mm (height), and the minimum image resolution should be 150 px/inch. The background of the photo should be light, preferrably white. Signature should be done in running handwriting and not in CAPITAL LETTERS. In the photo, your face, eyes and both ears should be clearly visible in it.
The registered candidates will be issued the admit card for Common Admission Test 2019 (CAT) online at the candidate login from October 23, 2019. It is a national level entrance exam for which every year more than 2 lakh candidates apply. The exam was first started in the year 1950 and has been changed drastically since then.
It is a computer-based test of 3 hours duration. There are two type of questions in CAT 2019- MCQ and TITA or Non-MCQ type in which candidates need to write the answer using the virtual keyboard. The score of CAT is used by IIMs for admission in PGP, PGP-FABM, EPGP, PGP-HRM, PGPEM, PGPPM courses and by more than 200+ B-Schools.
