CAT 2018 VARC Unexpectedly Easiest Rest Two Sections are Moderate

The first slot of CAT 2018 has completed. By interacting the students appeared for first slot mixed reaction of the students received. According to the students, the VARC section is the easiest section as compared to last year CAT paper. But the other two sections contain the mixed reactions of the student. As per the trend that DILR section is the toughest section but for CAT 2018 students find the DILR moderate and Quant section at the difficult level. For some students, a quant section is the most difficult section while for some students LRDI is the most difficult section.

The overall level of CAT 2018 slot one question paper is moderate to difficult. As per the reaction of the various students, the quant section was quite lengthy as compared to the last year. The arithmetic section of quant finds difficult by most of the students. Permutation and Combination section is also at the same difficulty level. On the other hand questions from the logarithmic section are easy and there are no questions from AP. At the same time, there is less number of questions from the probability part. This is the overview of the different students for the quant section appeared for the CAT 2018 first slot.

Now, if we talk about the VARC section which is saying the easiest section consists of the para jumble, odd one out and para summary questions. Apart from this, there are total 4 RC passages with 5 questions each and 1 RC passage with 4 questions. This finds the students the VARC section more easy as compared to the last year.

CAT 2018 LRDI section is at the same level of difficulty level. Some of the students find it difficult but there some who find not so difficult. As per the reviews if you understand the graph of the question then it is easy to answer the questions. There is one pie chart question from the LRDI question of the question paper of the first slot.

CAT 2018 question paper consists of 3 sections- VARC, Quant and LRDI. The VARC and Quant section consists of total 34 sections each. While the LRDI section consists of total 32 sections. So. the pattern of the question paper followed by IIM Calcutta is same as that of the last year. Today CAT fever is going at the national level and it yet not end. The second slot is going to start from 2:30 to 5:30. So, we soon come back with the reviews of the students for the second slot.
