The most sought-after exam, CAT 2018 is begin conducted today, on November 25, 2018. Students are all set to appear for the biggest management examination of the nation. Almost 2.41 lakh students have registered for the CAT 2018 exam this year. IIM Calcutta has been given the responsibility to conduct the exam. The exam is going to be conducted in two slots – the morning slot and the evening slot. Students have to report to their respective exam centres on time. The students have been informed about the instructions and the rules to be followed in the exam. Here are the top 5 important things you should not ignore on the CAT 2018 exam day.
CAT 2018 Admit Card
First and foremost the CAT 2018 aspirants have to make sure that they carry their Admit Card. Not even a single candidate will be allowed to appear for the CAT 2018 exam without the Hall ticket. One of the most important instruction is that on the Admit card, students have to paste one passport sized photographs themselves. As per the rules of CAT 2018 exam, the photograph pasted on the Admit Card must match the photograph as submitted while filling the registration form. The exam will be conducted only after the admit card’s of all the candidates have been scrutinized. For the smooth conduct of the exam, candidates must cooperate with the examiners on the exam day.
Dress Code
Another important thing about the CAT 2018 exam you should not ignore is that you must follow the dress ode set for the examination. Most importantly, students will not be allowed footwears inside the exam hall. Students will have to remove the footwear outside the exam hall. However, socks are allowed inside the exam hall. Candidates are not allowed clothes with pockets inside the exam hall. Nothing so far is clear about the bottom wear and thus, make sure you either wear bottom wear with less or no pockets at all.

Along with this, the students are also not allowed to wear any kind of Jewelry or Metal Items. Such items if by mistakenly gets carried on the exam day must be removed outside the exam day to avoid unnecessary arguments. Be completely sure that you do not have mobile phones or any kind of Gadgets with you. Any such gadgets or mobile phones will not be allowed inside the exam hall. Students should also check if they have kept a neutral and simple look for the exam day.
REPORTING TIME
The exam is being conducted from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM in the morning session and 02:30 PM to 05:30 PM in the evening shift. However, the students have to report to the exam hall before time. Students appearing in the morning shift must report at 07:30 AM and for the evening shift the students should be there at the exam centre at 01:00 PM. There is strictly no entry after 08:45 for the morning shift and 02:15 is the deadline for the evening shift exam.
AUTHORIZATION FORM
Candidates who have to take some items with them inside the exam hall that are, according to the rules, forbidden have to fill and submit the Authorization form. Candidates will be available the Authorization form at the exam centres only. Such candidates must take care that they reach the exam hall sometime before the exam time to complete the formalities.
USE THE SCRIBBLE PAD JUDICIALLY
Each candidate will be provided with a scribble pad on the CAT 2018 exam day. Students must remember to use their scribble pad judiciously. Only one scribble pad will be available to the students. For this purpose, students must make a strategy so as to use the scribble pad.
