The official notification for CAT 2018 may release today online by IIM Calcutta. Earlier, we were expecting that the notification will release on Sunday the July 29th. Though there is a high possibility that it will release today and publish in the national newspapers tomorrow. If the CAT notification does not release today then, we will get it tomorrow at both online and offline sources.
According to IIMCAT official website, the notification is likely to release on July/ August 2018. There are many other unofficial websites also who expects that CAT Notification on July 29, 2018. So, candidates can keep checking the CAT Notification to know the latest updates.
Once the CAT 2018 Notification is released we will able to know the exam dates, registration dates, application fee, change in reservation policy etc. The exam conducting body will also release the detailed information brochure also on the website.
Until now, we only know the CAT 2018 Exam Date, which is November 25, 2018. The exam will take place in the online mode only consisting of both subjective and objective based questions. There is still speculation if there will be any changes in the CAT.
The Registration for CAT 2018 is also expected to start one week after the notification release. It is the high possibility that the registration process will start from August 04, 2018. The window will open for almost 45 days. Candidates will able to fill the form in multiple sessions. The allocation for test centers will commence only the after submission of CAT Application Form before the last date of registration. The Registration fee may also likely to hike this year for both the reserved and unreserved candidates.
Ther may be a change in the reservation policy for admission 2019-21. Moreover, the selection process for various IIM’s will release later on their official website. In the notification, we will also able to know the number of test centers for the exam this year. in CAT 2017, the exam conducted in 140 test centers. The exact information for CAT 2018 test centers will be available by the third week of October 2018.
