The IIM Calcutta, exam conducting body for CAT 2018 has extended the last date for submitting the CAT 2018 Application Form. Earlier, the last date to submit the CAT 2018 Online Application was September 19, which has now been extended to September 26, 2018 (05:00 PM). The CAT exam is scheduled to be conducted on November 25, 2018.
To register for CAT 2018, the candidates need to visit the official website at iimcat.ac.in. Then click on the link for “Register”. Enter details such as your Name, Date of Birth, Email ID, Mobile Number. On submitting the login credentials, the aspirants will get an OTP on the mobile number submitted by them at the time of registering. Enter the OTP and the aspirants will receive the login credentials such as User ID and Password.
Next, the aspirants need to fill in other necessary information in the CAT 2018 Application Form such as their Personal details, Academic Details, Communication Details, Work experience information, In the CAT Application Form, the candidates need to choose the exam center and choice of programs. Also, upload the scanned images of your photograph and signature as per the specifications.

To submit the application form, the aspirants need to pay an application fee of Rs. 950/- for SC/ST/PWD Category Candidates and Rs. 1900/- for other Category Candidates. The application fee is payable by online mode only.
Another important announcement made by the exam conducting body is for those candidates who have registered for CAT 2018. Those applicants who have uploaded improper/ blur photographs can log in and re-upload their photograph from Sep 27 (10:00 AM) to 30, 2018 (5:00 PM). This is, however, valid only for those candidates who have paid applicable Registration Fee and have registered successfully for CAT 2018 before the specified deadline.
The images to be uploaded in the CAT Application Form should be as per the specification as given by the exam conducting body. The photograph to be uploaded should be not more than 06 months old. The file size of the photo should be Less than 80 and the dimensions should be 30 mm (width) x 45 mm (height). The background of the photograph should be white.
Also, remember that the signature uploaded by the candidate at the time of filling in details in the application form will be matched by the invigilator at the exam center. Hence, the candidates should do the signatrue which they normally do.
For uploading the image of the signature, the file size should be Less than 80 KB, and the dimensions of the image should be 80 mm (width) x 35 mm (height). The signature should contain the initials of the candidate. Do not sign in CAPITAL LETTERS and the applicants must sign with a black pen on white paper.
