The online registration for Common Admission Test began on August 09, 2017. As per the initial notice, the registration window was supposed to close on September 20, 2017, at 5:00 pm. However, IIM Lucknow has extended the last date for form submitting until September 25, 2017. This a fantastic opportunity for those who did not register yet or have not submitted the application fee.
The candidates should note that this is one and only opportunity provided by the conducting body. Once the extended last date to submit the application form ends, no application will be accepted. The candidates will not be able to pay the fee amount as well.
To submit the CAT 2017 Application Form the candidates need to visit the official website of the exam. Click on ‘Register for New User’ and then submit Name, Date of Birth, Email Address, Country, and Mobile Number. In return, the candidates will get an OTP and with the help of it, they will be able to access the application form and apply.
To submit the application form successfully, submitting of application fee is mandatory. The amount of CAT registration fee is Rs. 900 for SC, ST, and PwD candidates but the candidates belonging to other categories will have to pay Rs. 1800. The amount of fee can be remitted through Credit Card, Debit Card, ATM, Net Banking, Cash Card and E-Wallets.
Uploading of images is another crucial step for CAT Registration. Incorrect uploading of a single image can lead to rejection of the application. All the candidates will have to upload their photograph and signature but the reserved category candidates will have to upload Caste certificate as well. Similarly, the PwD candidates need to upload PwD certificate. If the candidate belongs to the reserved category, as well as PwD, then they need to upload all the four documents.
The size of the uploaded photograph should be 30 mm x 45mm. The specification for signature is 80 mm X 35 mm. The photograph should have been clicking with a light background and must display frontal face correctly. The signature should be neat and must not be in capital letters. All the documents are to be uploaded in JPG / JPEG format and should not of more than 80 KB.
It is important to submit the application form correctly because admit card will only be issued against properly submitted forms. The CAT admit card will only be released online. The candidates will be able to download it from October 18 to November 26, 2017. The Username and Password will be required to download the hall ticket. Candidates will need it even after the exam so it should be preserved safely.
IIM Lucknow might also provide an opportunity to make corrections in the application form, in the month of October 2017. So far, officials have only notified that the correction window will open for a limited period of time and via it, the candidates will be able to modify particular details only. The details that candidates will be able to modify includes the percentage of marks, work experience, programs names/interview city centers.
The correction in communication address, category, gender, educational qualification, exam city, and more is allowed before the final submit.
