CAT 2017 Exam Dates and Registration Details Announced by IIM Lucknow

CAT aspirants are informed that IIM CAT 2017 will be held on November 26, 2017. The test will be held in 2 sessions on same date. This is similar to what happened last year. Common Admission Test will lead to admissions in IIMs and leading colleges that offer management programs in post graduation.

It was already known that official notification for CAT exam was to release on July 30, 2017, however a day early only leading newspapers have cited exact dates already. It is reported that date of exam is November 26, 2017, and registrations will begin on August 9, 2017. Candidates who will appear in this entrance exam for admission 2018-20 must register and submit application form before last date.

Confirmation on dates will come on July 30, 2017 when newspapers and official website will display advertisement. As of now, you may gear up to apply and mark dates in calendar to finish revision.

IIM Lucknow is exam organizer for CAT 2017. Each year one Indian Institute of Management takes up responsibility for this exam on a rotational basis. It is further reported that exam will be held in 140 or more cities throughout India. Selection for test cities can be made during CAT 2017 Registration at official website and after getting application forms, IIM will assign one city for test for applicants.

Last date for registration will be September 20, 2017. Press release is supposed to state that applicants need not rush to apply as test city assignment will be done together after form submission ends. Application form will have usual sets of questions and fields for applicants to fill in. They must exercise caution while filling in form as this data is verified against documents and certificates at time of admission.

Professor Neeraj Dwivedi is CAT 2017 Convenor. As per statements taken by newspapers, pattern of CAT exam will be same as last year. There will be questions divided in three sections namely Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Ability. Overall duration would be 180 minutes or 3 hours.

TITA questions or Type In The Answer questions will again make an appearance. In such questions, test taker will have to type in answer in screen. Moreover there will be Multiple Choice Questions in exam. An on screen calculator will also be there, which can be practiced upon in mock test launched officially. An important thing to note is that sections cannot be switched while answering; in other words if you are answering questions in VARC, you can only do questions in that section at that time.

Only those who apply within given dates will be able to download admit card. CAT 2017 Admit Card will release online on October 18, 2017. Thus, with dates out, now is a perfect time to brush up concepts to crack CAT 2017! Best of luck!
