Aspirants waiting for CAT 2017 Admit Card can now log in to download it. Although the website was flashing that admit card would be issued at 1 PM (on October 25), it was issued at 12.30 PM only. It is at the candidate login page, that one can login to get admit card of the Common Admission Test. Exam is on November 26. A month before the exam, organizing IIM, IIM Lucknow, has released exam hall tickets. Candidates are informed of their examination centre and test system number through it. Additionally, it carries exam day instructions.

Last year IIM Bangalore held CAT 2016 and before that it was IIM Ahmedabad to convene it. This entrance exam forms the gateway for postgraduate management program admissions to several B schools.
Facility to download CAT 2017 Admit Card started today, October 25, at 12.30 PM. A little while before issuing hall tickets, IIML had suspended user login operations on the website. Now that login is active again, candidates can login to view application summary and download admit card.
There are three sections in the exam. They are first, verbal ability and reading comprehension also known as VARC, second, data interpretation and logical reasoning or DILR, third, quantitative ability or QA. These sections are as their name suggests. The duration of exam is 180 minutes. The exam pattern has witnessed significant changes ever since the exam went online (computer based) since 2009. Prior to 2009 it was a pen and paper based test. Last year the distribution of questions was VARC section with 34 questions, DILR with 32 questions, and QA with 34 questions. In each slot, number of non MCQs was 10, 8, 7 in these sections respectively. Overall exam difficulty was moderate to difficult.
