Central Airmen Selection Board (CASB) has postponed the publication of the Provisional Select List (PSL) of 02/2020 intake. The PSL was earlier scheduled to come out on April 30, 2020. However, due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis faced by the country, CASB has now officially postponed the release of the PSL. CASB has presented an official display of the notice on the website at airmenselection.cdac.in. The Board has promised to announce the new date of releasing the PSL in due course of time. CASB has advised all concerned to keep a watch during the second week of May 2020 to get any possible updates. We extracted the notice and attached a screenshot here for the convenience of our readers.

Earlier, the CASB has announced that the PSL for the 02/2020 airmen intake would release on April 30, 2020. However, at that time the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic was a far cry and no one could possibly foresee such a crisis. CASB has also been pushed to postpone the exam dates of STAR 01/2020 intake which was announced through a different notice earlier. However, now the Board has made it clear that it is not going to publish the PSL for 02/2020 airmen intake and is due to the widespread outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
One must note that the CASB has only deferred the event temporarily and a tentative schedule of releasing new dates has also been indicated in the official notice. CASB has made a public request in the conclusive part of the notice to monitor the website during the second week of May 2020. It is during this time that the CASB is expected to issue further updates regarding the rescheduling of the event of the release of the PSL for 02/2020 airmen intake. As of now, the exam stands postponed until the Board issued further orders in this context.
CASB conducted the Phase I and Phase II examination for the 02/2020 airmen intake in 2019. Accordingly, the results of the recruitment exam were also released. Qualifiers have been waiting eagerly for the Provisional Select List to be released by the Board. The Provisional Select List (PSL) is conventionally released after the results are published. However it does not consist of all qualifiers but only those who rank higher up in terms of merit and therefore, become eligible for final enrolment. As such, qualifiers of the Phase II selection tests of the 02/2020 intake have been waiting to check whether their dreams of making it to the top of the shortlists have been fulfilled or not.
