CA Final and CPT Result 2017 to be Announced on July 18!

Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced the date for the release of CA Final and CPT Result 2018. As per the released notice, it will be declared on July 18, 2017. The expected time for the release of the result is around 2:00 pm.

The result of both the exams will be announced on the official website, which is icaiexam.icai.org. To check the result, the candidates will have to enter the Roll Number and Pin Number or Registration Number. Hence, to check the result Roll Number is mandatory but candidates may choose between Registration or Pin Number.

Apart from this, the conducting body has also invited registration from those candidates who wish to get their result through e-mail. The registration will begin from July 14, 2017, and can be done from the official website only. The candidates will receive their result at the e-mail but will also be able to check it from the login. 

As always, the medium to check the result through SMS has also been provided. The candidates will be able to check via this medium, the candidates will have to send an SMS at 58888. The complete procedure to check the result as mentioned in the image below.

The result will be announced as a merit list. It will contain the score and the rank secured by the candidates. However, the merit will only be allocated to the qualified candidates. To clear the exam, candidates must have secured 55% or above and upto the maximum of 50th Rank in the case of Final examination.

We congratulate to qualifiers of both the examinations. The qualifiers of CA Final examination will be certified as proper Chartered Accountant. Whereas, the qualifiers of CPT examination will move forward to CA dream by applying for the further courses like IPCC. 

The scheme of the exams has been changed for the CA Final and CPT Paper from this year. The exam is due to be held in the month of May 2018 will be conducted as per the new scheme. Significant changes have been made in both exams, which includes replacing of subjects. However, the candidates need not worry because the old scheme will also be running until 2020. The candidates will be able to switch from old to new or new to the old scheme as well.

This has increased the number of opportunity for the candidates. However, only those candidates can appear for the examination under the old and new scheme who registered before June 30, 2017. The candidates registering after this date will only be able to take the exam under the new scheme.

In CA Final, the difference between the old and new scheme is in the Group II. Here, Advanced Management Accounting and Information Systems Control and Audit have been replaced with Strategic Cost Management and Performance Evaluation and Elective Papers.

As far as CPT is concerned, the candidates will have study Principles and Practices of Accounting, Business Law & Business Correspondence and Reporting, Business Mathematics and Logical Reasoning &Statistics, and Business Economics & Business and Commercial Knowledge.
