Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has notified BSNL Recruitment 2019 for the post of Management Trainee (Telecom Operations). As per the notification by BSNL, 300 vacant posts are available. 150 out of the total posts will be filled by external candidates (open market).

The recruitment has a pay scale of Rs 24,900 – 50,500/- with 3% increment per annum in terms of perks, IDA, HRA, medical benefits etc. So, in order to apply for the post, candidates must qualify the minimum eligibility criteria. As per the notification, applicants must have completed a bachelor degree in engineering/ technology or equivalent engineering degree in Electronics/ Telecommunications/ IT/ Electrical/ Computers.

Apart from that it is necessary to have a minimum aggregate of 60% marks in graduation. There is a relaxation of 5% for the SC/ ST candidates. Candidates with MBA or MTech degree are also eligible to apply. Candidates applying for the posts must have age less than 30 as of August 01, 2019. There is a relaxation of 5, 3, 10, 15, and 13 years for SC/ ST, OBC, PwD (OC), Pwd (SC/ST), and PWD (OBC) respectively.
Candidates successfully submitting the form needs to appear for Online Assessment Process. The schedule date for the exam is March 17, 2019. It is a three-hour test having multiple choice questions with 25% negative marking of incorrect answers. The online test consists of 450 questions divided equally between Management Aptitude, Cognitive Ability, and Technical Knowledge.

The performance of the candidates in the exam is based on sectional and overall scores. Aspirants clearing all the sectional cut-off will only be considered for the next round. Moreover, the overall scores will be further considered for the merit list of the candidates shortlisted for Group Discussion and Personal Interview. The minimum qualifying marks for each section is 40%, 36%, and 33% for general, OBC, and SC/ST candidates respectively.
Candidates who will be selected for the post will have to undergo a probation-cum-training (two years) and bond. The recruitment is provisional and candidates must accept a bond to show a willingness to serve as a management trainee for atleast 5 years after the day of the appointment. After the completion of the probation period, candidates shall be promoted to the post of Management Trainee, Assistant General Manager (AGM) etc.
