As per the reports, the Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission will conduct the Preliminary Exam for the SI and Sergeant post on December 05, 2021. The BPSSC has notified all the districts heads regarding conducting the examination in December. BPSSC has released an official notification for filling 1998 Sub Inspector and 215 vacancies in Sergeant. Around 6 lakhs candidates who have filled the application form for the BPSSC SI exam 2021 can expect an official notification soon on the official website i.e. bpssc.bih.nic.in.
Earlier, in 2019 the commission has announced 2446 vacancies for the above-mentioned posts. The selection process of the same has been already completed by the commission and appointment to the successful candidates has also been provided.
The examination of Sub Inspector and Sergeant was expected to be conducted earlier. However, amid the elections in the state and the surge of the Covid-19 cases the exam cannot be commenced. Nevertheless, now the government has given the nod to conduct the examination for the SI and Sergeant. If reports are to be believed, then the examination will be held on December 05, 2021, in two shifts.
The candidates can expect the Bihar SI Preliminary Admit Card to be released soon on the official website of the commission. As per the previous year’s result statistics, the admit card is announced usually 15 days before the examination date. If the above-decided date is true then the admit card can be released in the last week of November 2021.
According to the official notification released in 2020, the selection process of Sub Inspector and Sergeant will have three levels i.e. Preliminary, Mains, and Physical Eligibility Criteria. The preliminary exam will be an offline test and will have 100 questions mainly from two subjects i.e. General knowledge and Current Affairs. The examination will be held for a duration of 2 hours with every correct answer accounting for 2 marks. There will be a deduction of 0.20 marks applicable for incorrect answers.
The preliminary exam will be followed by a Mains exam and a Physical Eligibility Criteria examination. The candidates who are successful in all three phases will be appointed for the post of Bihar Sub Inspector/Sergeant. The candidates thus appointed will be eligible to get paid under Level 6 with basic pay of Rs 35400-112400.
