The Bihar Public Service Commission announced the 60th to 62nd PT Result on September 13, 2017. The exam for BPSC PT was conducted on February 12, 2017. Candidates can check their result on the official website of BPSC i.e. bpsc.bih.nic.in.
The BPSC PT Result 2017 has been published in the pdf format. The list contains the roll numbers of the candidates who have qualified the Preliminary Test and have been shortlisted for the Main exam. 8282 candidates successfully qualified for the 60th to 62th Combined Competitive (Main) Examination.
160086 student appeared for the Preliminary Test, which was conducted in 390 examination centers located in 35 districts. The Merit Lists have been prepared on the basis of scanning of answer sheets of 160086 candidates included in the said examination. The exam was conducted for recruitment to various posts such as Bihar Police Service, Bihar Finance Service, Revenue officer, etc.
Prabhat Kumar Sinha, the secretary of BPSC, informed that the Combined Competitive (Preliminary) examination was of 150. In this, for the unreserved category, the cut off reaches a high of 97, while the females in the unreserved category have a cut of 86 points. For SC category, the cut off is 83 and for the SC Female category, the cut off is 75. The cut off for OBC categories is 93, while for the female it is 81.
Also, BPSC has also published the Prelims Final Answer Key, General Studies. The answer key was published in pdf format which consists of the correct answer for all the questions asked in each Set (A, B, C, D). The final answer key for General Studies was published at the same time of result declaration.
After the declaration of the result, the scorecard will be soon available for download on the BPSC official website. It is advised to candidates to download the scorecard as soon as it will be released, as the link will be activated for a period of time only.
As per the result for Prelims Test, the candidates whose roll number appears on the list will be allowed to appear in the Main examination. The date for the Main exam has not yet been declared by the Commission, but it is expected to be declared soon. The selection of candidates for various posts will be on the basis of Preliminary Test, Main exam, and Interview. Candidates who will qualify the three rounds will be recruited to the desired post.
