Teaching aspirants can expect Bihar TET 2019 notification very soon. Bihar Board has started preparations to conduct Bihar TET this year, in 2019, only. The board is aiming to hold Bihar Teacher Eligibility Test by the end of the year, probably in December. A recent report suggests that the search for an agency who will organize STET has begun, and that all processes shall be online this time. From application form filling to monitoring in the exam hall, all activities will take place in online mode.
The state board is anticipating around 5 lakh aspirants to apply for the BTET / BETET / BSTET exam.
Last teachers eligibility test that was held in Bihar was in the year 2011-2012. 60,730 candidates had passed the TET for classes 1 to 5. Class 6 to 8 teaching aspirants that passed the TET were 87,254 in number. It was reported later that the respective vacancies of these teachers in schools stood at 89,429, and 46,635 respectively. In some cases there was a shortage of TET pass candidates in certain subjects, whereas in others there became too many TET qualified candidates in another. Such candidates who could not get teaching jobs despite clearing TET have been waiting for the next Bihar TET so that they can change their subjects.
Bihar TET 2019 online application form will be invited through official website. At the moment there is no separate website for Bihar TET. It is expected that either it will be biharboardonline.bihar.gov.in, or a new website could be launched and its details will be disclosed through TET notification.
Teaching aspirants will have to submit their details in the online form, as and when it is available. Other than details such as about self, educational, contact, and exam pertaining information will also have to be entered in it. The form will also have fields to upload their photograph and signature. Auto generated emails and SMS will be sent to applicants. There will also be facility to edit application form. In the report released recently on Bihar TET 2019, it is mentioned that details like name, father’s name, mother’s name, category, paper can be edited. Candidates will also get center and language choices. Fee payment shall also be online.
As per reports, only B.Ed qualified candidates can appear for STET.
There will be special arrangements at exam centers to prevent cases of cheating and fraudulent activities. The agency that will be given the responsibility for conducting TET will make arrangements for biometric and thumb impression at center. There will also be real time biometric based attendance and face capturing system. Candidates will be observed live at Bihar headquarters in Patna. For the same, there will be arrangements for portable machine in such a way that there will be at least one per 100 candidates, and data captured by said machines will be compared with photograph and thumb impression details already available with the boards.
Earlier in June this year, the validity of Bihar TET and STET certificates were extended for the 82,180 candidates who passed Teacher Eligibility Test, and Special Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) to two more years. The employment certificates were going to expire in May and June this year.
