Bihar Board class 10th and 12th examinations for the academic year 2018-19 begins today. As per the schedule, the examinations conducted in two slots. The first slot is from 9:30 am to 12:45 pm and the second slot is from 1:45 pm to 5:00 pm. Bihar Board class 10th examinations started with the English subject. While the class 12th examinations started with the Biology, R.B Hindi, Philosophy, and Entrepreneurship of science, vocational, arts and vocational stream respectively.

The board has started the examinations and therefore keeping in mind last previous year trends this year Bihar Board has introduced new steps to prevent the cheating. Leaking of question papers affects the examination process and also results in the delay of the declaration of the result.

Thus for the year 2019 Bihar Board has prepared the 10 different sets of the questions papers. Each set is having different questions. So, this would decrease the chances of leaking of papers. Even if the papers leaked then also student will not able to identify that which set he or she will receive on the day of examination. Along with this Bihar Board has introduced the barcoded answer copies which include the student’s detail in printed form. Instead of filling the OMR students need to enter medium of examination, candidate’s signature and question set number.

The implementation of these steps will definitely reduce the risk of leaking of question papers as well as improves the execution process.

The list is not ended here. Bihar board has also asked the teachers not to carry their mobile phones inside the examination hall. The students going to appear for the examinations are not allowed to wear socks and shoes. Before entering into the examination hall the students will be checked twice and at the same time declaration will be taken that he/ she has checked the student and no restricted items found. In case if found so after the declaration then he or she will be suspended.

The board has also planned to introduce the ‘Exam Centre Locator’ mobile application to access the exam centre across the state. The process is under construction.

Bihar Board has also made the changes in the pattern of the question paper. Decrease the number of High Order Thinking Skills (HOTs) questions and increase the number of long type questions. In the question paper, there are a total of 27 subjective questions of 3 to 5 marks. The students provided a choice to attempt any 15 questions only. By introducing these changes Bihar Board is aiming in the increment of passing percentage as compared to the last year.

All The Best!

Do not get panic. Believe in yourself and do well in your exams!
