The Bihar school examination board (BSEB) has pulled up the sleeves to finalize the already delayed result of Intermediate and Matriculation examination. The candidates have been keeping an eye on the exam results for a very long time now and the Bihar board seems to have understood the urgency.
According to the schedule uploaded before the candidates were told that the results will be announced on March 15, 2018. Now the Bihar board has announced that the board exam results of Inter and Matriculation examination will be announced in last week of May 2018. The board is expected to finish the evaluation of the Matric answer sheets before the Inter and thus the results for the former shall be announced before the inter. The candidate will be able to check their result on the official website.
A total of 12,07,989 candidates have appeared for the Intermediate examination while on the other hand, 17,70,042 candidates appeared for the Matriculation examination. It’s discomforting to see such a big number of candidates waiting cluelessly for their results. However, the board president Mr. Anand Kishore, in a statement has reassured the candidates that the Bihar Board Inter results 2018 and also for Matric will be declared in last week of May.
The reason for the delay is said to be the slow evaluation of the answer sheets. According to the sources, the reason for the delay in Bihar Board Matric results 2018 and that for inter also is the lack of teachers in the English language. Last year the results for Intermediate were declared in the last week of May and the results for matric were declared in June. However, this year the candidates who have appeared for the matriculation examination shall be provided the results before the Inter. The evaluation of the matriculation answer sheets started from 16th March and still, the evaluation is being done faster than Inter.
Can’t really say if the blame game played by the Board will actually comfort the candidates. It is being said that the evaluation will take two more days. It must be noted that more than 50,000 answer sheets of the Intermediate examinations are yet to be evaluated. Patna, Munger, and Purniya together are still left with more than 7000 yet to be evaluated answer sheets. Along with the evaluation, the scanning of the documents is also being done and its said that 50% of the objective type question scanning has been done and the answer key for the same has also been prepared.
According to the Bihar School Examination Board, the pending evaluation of the answer sheets and the scanning of the documents will be finished before 20th April 2018. According to the sources, while the results of Matric will be declared on 20th Apr, the results of Inter examination will be declared on 30th Apr.
The candidates have complained that questions have been asked from outside the syllabus also. However, making it clear that no separate marks shall be given to the candidates for Mathematics, the board denies including out of syllabus questions. This complaint from the candidates came with a request to give grace marks. The board has not yet announced if the candidates would be given grace marks or not.
According to the sources, the candidates have failed to perform well in the examinations. The board has said that the candidates left the answer sheets blank for subjective type questions. Is the education getting tougher day by day in Bihar or it’s just the students who are outperforming? Let us know in the comment section about your thoughts on this.
An oft asked query is how to check the result of Inter/Matric examinations? The candidates shall be able to check the results of the BSEB Inter/Matric examination from the official website. Since the result dates for both the classes have been announced, the candidates must keep checking the website for any further updates. The candidates must keep handy their credentials in order to check their result. The candidates will be required to keep the roll code as well as the roll number to check the BSEB results. The candidates are advised to not forget to take at least two printouts of the result page and make sure to keep the photocopies also.
Another important information for the candidates is that those who have done corrections in the answer sheets with whitener will have to face a delay in their BSEB results as it was strictly informed to the candidates to not use whitener or do overwriting while filling their OMR sheets.
