Andhra University has released application form for Andhra Pradesh Research Common Entrance Test (APRCET) 2019. Candidates seeking admission in full time or part time M.Phil and Ph.D programmes can apply online, from sche.ap.gov.in. The last date to apply is October 10 and the examination will be held from November 8 to 12, 2019.
Master’s degree holder in respective subject, with a minimum of 55% marks can apply online from the official website. However, minimum marks criteria for SC / ST / PwD candidates is 50%. To access the application form, candidates need to click at “Application” tab in the blue bar at the top. It will direct to a new page, where candidates will get to see 4 options for fee payment, know your payment status, fill application, and print application form. Candidates first need to pay the application fee and then submit details in the application form.
The fee is Rs. 1,300. However, candidates belonging to SC, ST and PWD category only need to pay Rs. 900. Candidates can pay it via net baking, debit card, and credit card. After the successful payment, candidates get payment reference id. With the help of the id, mobile number, and date of birth candidates can access the login and fill details in the application form.
APRCET 2019 online application form can be filled for six more days after the last date. In this period, candidates will have to pay late fee; here the fee amount will be Rs. 2,000. Nevertheless this provision will allow candidates to submit the form even after the last date, until October 16. After that, there will be no provision for applying.
Following this, corrections for already submitted applications will open on October 17. Candidates who have submitted the application form and fee will be allowed to change a few details in the application form. The correction window ends on October 19.
After that admit card will be released on October 28, at the website. Payment reference id, application number, mobile number and date of birth will be needed to do download it.
APRCET is a 180 marks examination, which is divided into Part A and B. Both the parts are of 90 marks. It will be held in 96 subject papers wherein the syllabus of Part A will be along the lines of UGC NET Paper 1 syllabus, whereas, syllabus for Part B has been prepared for each subject paper respectively and is available on the website.
Candidates who score more than 50% marks in open category and above 45% in OBC / SC / ST / PH category are then called for the interview / viva-voce round. The interview is conducted by the respective concerned University Department. It is centred around candidate’s research area of interest. It holds 20 marks is aimed at accessing candidates competence for the proposed research, purpose of research topic, and if University can undertake research topic suitably or not.
The final admission of the candidates is done based on performance in the written test and interview round. The final merit list is prepared out of 200 marks and candidates who make it to the list are granted admission in Universities of Andhra Pradesh.
