State Level Police Recruitment Board Andhra Pradesh ( AP SLPRB) invites online applications for recruitment to the post of Assistant Public Prosecutor in AP State Prosecution Department for 50 vacancies. Assistant Public Prosecutor Notification 2019 was released yesterday, along with the application form at slprb.ap.gov.in. Last date to apply online is October 31, 2019.
The vacancies are divided zone wise. Zone I Vishakhapatnam range has 9 vacancies, Zone II Eluru range has 10, Zone III Guntur range has 14 vacancies, and Zone IV Kurnool range has 17.
APSLPRB requires that candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in any subject atong with a Bachelor’s Degree in Law, and should have practised as an advocate for at least 3 years in criminal courts in the state, to apply for the post. Further, the applicant should be less than 42 years of age, born not after 2nd July 1977.
The application fee for Assistant Public Prosecutor recruitment 2019 is Rs 600 for OCs and BCs of AP, local candidates of AP who are SC and ST have to pay Rs 300. All others need to pay Rs 600.
The Assistant Public Prosecutor Notification 2019 in AP further states that there will be a written exam in order to recruit candidates for the vacant positions. The exam will be held on November 17, 2019.
Paper I of the written exam will be of 200 marks, from 10 am to 1 pm. Paper II will also be of 200 marks, from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm. Both will be on lndian Constitution; the Code of Criminal Procedure 1973 and CriminaL RuLes of Practice and circular orders, 1990; lndian Evidence Act, ‘1872; The lndian Penal Code; Minor Acts.
However paper I will be objective and paper II will be subjective / descriptive.
The minimum qualifying marks in each paper is 40% for OCs, 35% for BCs, and 30% for SC, ST, ExS.
After the exam, there will be an interview of 25 marks. Around 100 candidates will be called for it.
The notification clarifies the districts or areas under each zone. Zone I comprises of Srikakulam, Vizianaga ram, Visakhapatnam. Under zone II, there are East Godavari, West Godavari, Krishna. Then under zone III, are Guntur, Prakasam, Nellore. And finally under zone Iv come Chittoor, Anantpur, Kurnool, Kadapa.
As regards to the upper age limit, BC, SC, ST candidates will get a relaxation upto 5 years. Orthopedically handicapped candidates get upto 10 years. There are age relaxations for other categories as well, as per the notification.
The cut off date for counting experience for AP SLPRB Assistant Public Prosecutor recruitment 2019 is September 30, 2019. That is only such govt job seekers can apply who have completed three years of practice as on this given date.
