Recently, Assam Science & Technology University (ASTU) had confirmed that the Assam CEE 2019 application forms will be released on March 1, 2019 on its official website, http://www.astu.ac.in. Although, no such official statement has been released by the authorities, till now! This statement was exclusively released over a telephonic conversation to us (Aglasem).
As per last year’s record, Assam CEE application process started March 01 onward and ended on March 26 on its official website. Hopefully, the authorities are expected to give a confirmation by this week! Note that, Assam CEE 2019 is expected to be held by the last week of April.
Before applying online, a candidate is advised to first check the eligibility, other guidelines and Assam CEE 2019 application fee. Assam CEE 2019 Eligibility has 3 parts to it, namely age limit, citizenship and educational qualification. A candidate should fall between 17 – 21 year age group, as on 1 August 2019 and should necessarily be a resident of Assam and also of India. SC/ST candidates, having passed B.Sc. are given 3 years of upper age relaxation.
As per the educational qualification is concerned, a candidate must be Class 12 pass with having secured at least 55% of marks in average (45% and 40% of marks respectively in case of SC and ST candidates). Last year, a candidate was required to pay Rs. 600/- via using Debit Card/ Net banking/ Credit Card facility. We will get to know about the application fee and its mode of payment, once the authorities release any such official notification.
Generally, there are 4 major application steps, namely registration, completing the form, making the payment and taking a print out of the application. Candidates are advised to keep all the relevant documents/details handy, like Class 10/12 marksheet, contact details, scanned images of photograph and signature and photo id details. So, that it doesn’t delay their Assam CEE 2019 application process!
Assam CEE is a state level engineering entrance conducted in offline mode for a duration of 3 hours. This exam is conducted for BE/BTech admission in Assam across Guwahati, Jorhat, Nagaon, Dibrugarh, Silchar, Bongaigaon, North Lakhimpur, Tezpur and Nalbari exam centers.
The medium of this exam is English or Assamese language only. 120 questions from Physics, Chemistry and Maths of 480 marks needs to be attempted by a candidate in a duration of 3 hours. Assam Common Entrance Examination (CEE) application form consists of 2 parts – Part A and Part B. Part A needs to be filled at the time of applying for the exam, part B needs to be filled at the time of appearing for Assam CEE 2019 counselling. Last year, over 25,000 candidates had applied for this exam. Let’s see whether the number of applications goes up or down, this year!
