The Assam Science and Technology University has released the notification for Assam CEE 2018 – Combined Entrance Examination (CEE) 2018. The notification has been published on February 19, 2018, at astu.ac.in. As of now only the dates are available. However, the candidates can note it down and start preparing for the test.
The University is all set to conduct the Common Entrance Test 2018 on April 29, 2018 (11:00 AM to 02:00 PM). The entrance test is held to grant admission in B.E/B.Tech Programme for the session 2018-19 in the Engineering Colleges in Assam.
The application form will be available from March 01, 2018 and the last date for submitting the application is March 20, 2018. The Assam CEE 2018 Application Form will be available online at the University’s official website. The candidates need to register, fill up details upload necessary images and submit the application by online mode only.
However, before the candidates fill up the application, ensure that they fulfill the eligibility criteria as laid down by the University. Though the eligibility conditions are not verified initially, i..e, at the time of registration but it will be checked once the candidate qualifies the entrance test.
Those who successfully register for the exam will be then issued admit card to appear for the entrance test. The Admit Card is an important document and must be kept safe until the admission process is not over. No Assam CEE Admit Card will be dispatched by post. It is the sole responsibility of the candidate to download, take a print out of it and bring it on the day of examination. The registered candidates will be able to download the Assam CEE 2018 Hall Ticket/ Admit Card from April 09, 2018. The candidates can download their admit card till the day of the examination.
The mode of the entrance test and its exam pattern will only be finalized once the University released the information brochure for Assam CEE 2018.
The result for the entrance test will be announced on May 10, 2018, online at the Universty’s website. The candidates will be able to check the result by entering details such as Roll Number, Date of Birth. The selection of candidates for BE/ B.Tech admission will be on the basis of their performance in the entrance test.
There are few entrance tests which are being held either on the same day or before the CEE 2018. So, if you candidates have set their mind on getting admission in the Engineering colleges of Assam, then there will be no issue but if the candidate is applying for another entrance test, then you should make a choice.
To name a few, engineering entrance tests such as KLUEEE 2018 (for AP and TS center) is on the same day as Assam CEE 2018. Not only this, but ITSAT 2018 (for other test centers except for Institute), AEEE 2018 (Pen and Paper Based Test).
However, for some entrance exams such as SRMJEEE 2018, AEEE 2018, there is a facility of Slot Booking. In the slot booking, the candidate has to choose the exam date, time and center as per their convenience.
