APPSC Group 2 Key of 5 May 2019 Available; 1.77 Lakh appear in screening test

APPSC Group 2 Answer Key 2019

Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) conducted Group 2 Screening Test today from 10 AM to 12:30 PM at 727 centres in the state. An overwhelming number of 2,95,036 candidates had applied to appear in it. Now those who qualify this stage will have to appear in Main Exam scheduled to be held on August 29 and 30, 2019.

After the exam, several coaching centres have released answer key of APPSC Group 2 2019. They are available for Set A, B, C, D. Candidates can refer them to check answers of all 150 questions. For every correct answer, candidates get one (1) mark, and for every incorrect answer, one-third (1/3) marks are deducted.

The question papers had 150 questions. Section A was on General Studies and Mental Ability with 50 questions. Then Section B was on Social and Cultural History of Andhra Pradesh and Indian Constitution with 50 questions. And the last section was Section C was on Planning and Economy from which, 50 questions were asked. Nevertheless, official answer key by the Commission shall also be available in a few days time only.

As per candidates, the paper was moderately difficult. Section A was quite easy. Section C was toughest. However for those who had studied about the topics diligently, the paper was not very time consuming.

The recruitment is for various executive and non-executive posts with overall 446 vacancies. Number of applicants who downloaded hall tickets were 2,28,263. Among them, a total of 1,77,876 candidates appeared in exam held May 5, 2019.

Whereas the attendance percentage was 77.92% overall, it was highest in Vizianagaram with 83.42%. Srikakulam and SPSR Nellore also saw above 80% attendance.

However the highest number of candidates to take the exam was 22,195 from Vishakhapatnam. Next to it were Kurnool, East Godavari, Guntur, from where 18760, 18402, 17140 candidates appeared respectively. The highest number of absentees were also from Vishakhapatnam, amounting to 6227 candidates. However the percentage attendance was 78.09%.

The number of candidates to appear from Krishna, Ananthapuramu, Chittoor, YSR Kadapa, West Godavari, were 15393, 14530, 13015, 11024, 10111. Places from where less than 10000 candidates appeared were Srikakulam (9766), Vizianagaram (8770), Prakasam (9391), SPSR Nellore (9379).

APPSC confirmed that the exam took place peacefully at all venues. The test was objective type, wherein candidates had to mark answers in OMR sheet. The front page of question paper had relevant instructions and methodology of marking answers. With exam over, wait for 1.77 lakh candidates begins for result of APPSC Group 2 2019.
