The state government of Andhra Pradesh has taken another step towards improving employment opportunities in the state. APCOS is the AP Corporation for Outsourced Services, launched by the government. As the name suggests, the corporation shall look after outsourced jobs in the state,ensure that there is no corruption or middleman in the process, that salaries are paid in full and on time.
Recently the official website of APCOS was launched. There appear to be two websites right now apcos.ap.gov.in, and apcos.apcfss.in, however the second one has been promoted more widely in media. After launch of the website, candidate registration has also opened. A number of pages on the website are functional including vision, mission, structure. A few like registration guidelines are yet to open.
As per reports, CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has said that SC, ST, BC and minorities will get reservation to the tune of 50%. Whereas women will have 50% vacancies reserved for themselves at a district level. APCOS will ensure reservation norms are followed. Also that PF, ESI are not evaded. Salaries will be credited to bank accounts
Per data available in media, by December 15, 2019 vacancies list will be acquired. Thereafter placement orders will be issued from January 1, 2020. All data, as and when available, will be provided through the website.
For APCOS, in-charge minister will be approving authority, district collector will be convenor at district level. Whereas concerned minister, department secretary will do so at the state level.
On the APCOS website it lists secretariat departments, heads of the departments, district administration, organizations of the govt. of india, corporations societies institutions of goap as the client organizations served.
Its vision, it states is “To create a transparent, accountable and sustainable outsourcing ecosystem in Govt. of Andhra Pradesh”. The mission is “To effectively cater to the outsourcing requirements of the Government and ensure maximum possible benefits to the outsourced employees, by adopting efficient processes, procedures and technologies”.
How to register at APCOS?
APCOS candidate registration process is a four step procedure. The first thing is to go to the official website and click on candidate registration. Then enter aadhaar number. An OTP is then sent to the registered mobile number, attached to the aadhaar card. Once the OTP is entered, one can proceed to fill the details in the form. All details asked in the form needs to filled correctly and submitted.
Those not aware of the mobile number attached to their aadhaar card can click on the relevant know your mobile number link on the registration page. It leads to concerned page of uidai.gov.in where, by entering aadhaar number, and either email or mobile number, relevant data will be given.
