Recently, AP Postal Circle has released the official notification for the post of Multi Tasking Staffs (MTS), Postman and Mail Guard across various Postal/Administrative offices in the State of Andhra Pradesh. Also, the application process for these 68 vacancies is now open! Interested candidates can check the eligibility from the notification released and start applying over www.appost.in. The last date to register for these posts is February 28,2019, whereas the last date to make the fee payment is March 05, 2019. Till March 08, 2019, a candidate will be allowed to submit their final applications in online mode only.
There are 4 steps to apply for these posts, namely visiting the official website, filling up the details, paying off the required fee and finally, upload the requisite documents online. Note that, the uploaded passport size photograph should not be more than 50 KB and the signature file should not be more than 20 KB. Both of these documents should be in JPEG/JPG file format.
An application fee of Rs. 100 and the examination fee of Rs. 400 needs to be paid in cash, in a prescribed format to the Department post office in Andhra Pradesh. A candidate should be between 18 to 25 years to apply for MTS post. And for Postmen & Mail Guard post, a candidate should be between 18 to 27 years. SC/ST, OBC/ESM and PWD candidates are given 5, 3 and 10 years age relaxation respectively. The minimum qualification needed to apply for these posts is that a candidate should be Class 10 or equivalent passed.
AP Post Circle has released these posts to fill 13 Circle & Administrative Offices MTS and 33 Subordinate Offices- Postal & RMS divisions MTS. Other than these posts, it has also released vacancies for the post of Postman and Mail Guard, 19 and 3 in number respectively. Eligible candidates will be selected on the basis of their merit scores in Aptitude test and thereby, their names appearing in the merit list.
The aptitude test will be conducted for a duration of 2 hours, where a candidate needs to attempt 100 MCQ type questions of Class 12 level. The test will be divided into 3 Parts, having questions from General Knowledge, Mathematics, English and Telugu segments. There will be no negative marking scheme applicable to this test and +1 mark is awarded for every right answer.
AP Postal Circle has also specified the qualifying marks for each category candidates. For Part A, B and C, an UR, SC/ST and OBC category candidate requires to secure at least 10, 8 and 9 marks each respectively. In average, an UR candidate needs to score 40 marks, whereas a SC/ST candidate needs 35 marks. Lastly, an OBC candidate needs to score 37 marks to qualify this aptitude test.
All the applicants will be further issued hall tickets for this aptitude test by AP Postal Circle on its official website, once the authorities release the exam date.
