The Andhra Pradesh State Government has shown a willingness to conduct AP Inter Exam 2021 for 2nd year Intermediate or Class 12 students. In the hearing that took place on Tuesday, Andhra Pradesh Government has informed the Supreme Court that the state government is likely to hold the class 12 exam for this year. The AP Inter Exam 2021 is likely to be held in the first week of July 2021.
On June 22, 2021, a hearing on the matter of 12th Exam 2021 Cancellation was scheduled for AP Government by the Supreme Court. In this hearing, Adv Mahfooz Nazki representing AP Government said that the state government is mulling to conduct the Class 12 exam in July 2021. It’s likely that the government will conduct the exam in the first week of July 2021 with all the necessary precautions and protocols for COVID-19.
In the response, Justice Khanwilkar has asked the council to submit an affidavit mentioning all the necessary details about how the AP Intermediate exam 2021 will be organized amidst pandemic. The SC has directed the government to “take a decision and file an affidavit. Don’t keep it uncertain”.
Earlier last week, the AP government held a high-level meeting to take a final decision on AP Intermediate Board Exams 2021. However, no formal announcement was made in this regard so far. The Supreme Court has also issued notice to several state governments that are yet to make a final announcement on the cancellation of the state board. This includes the states of Punjab, Assam, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka. Following the notice by the apex court, the state government announced the cancellation of the class 12 board exam. However, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh state are firm on their stand to organize the Class 12th exam.
The Supreme Court has asked the AP Government to file an affidavit in this regard as soon as possible. Justice Khanwilkar further added that “If there is one fatality we will hold the state of AP responsible for it”. Adv Mahfooz Nazki has said that “we will file an affidavit in two days”.
There has been speculation that the Andhra Pradesh Government will take a final decision on this issue as there has been a growing demand for the cancellation of the ards exam. As per the reports, the final decision is expected by today i.e June 23, 2021, in case the state decides to cancel the exam.
