AMU Releases Application Form for 2019 Admission; Details and Brochure Released

Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has started AMU Admission 2019 by releasing the application form. It has been released on the official website www.amucontrollerexams.com. The admission is open for all Bachelor’s (except for M.B.B.S./B.D.S., B.P.Ed. and Unani medicine), Master’s courses (except for medicine and Unani medicine course), PG Diploma (except for Pre MFA, P.G. Diploma in Muslim Chaplaincy, P.G. Diploma in Hydrogeology and P.G. Diploma in Professional Courses), Diploma/Advance Diploma courses and Part-time courses like Diploma in Translation. 

Candidates can apply for multiple courses by filling single application form of AMU 2019. It need to be filled in only online mode and need not to submit a copy of their filled in applications to the University. The AMU 2019 exam fee varies from Rs. 450 to Rs. 350, depending on the course applying for. The exam fee needs to be paid in online mode, via choosing either Net Banking/Debit Card/Credit Card option.

There are 6 steps to apply online for AMU 2019 General Admission, namely registration, signing up with the new credentials, updating profile, filling educational details, uploading documents and applying for a course/making fee payment. Candidates need to make sure that after filling the details in each step, they save and preview them, before submitting.

AMU has designed different selection criteria for admission to their University. It considers the merit in the admission test for some, while for some others specific department test is conducted. In the case of some other courses, it considers the merit marks of the qualifying exam. This year, it is all set to conduct offline exam for B.Sc(Hons.)/B.Com., B.A(Hons), S.S.S.C, B.Tech, M.B.A, B.A LLB, and B.Ed. courses from April 7, 2019, to May 27, 2019.

Note that, for all the departmental courses that it conducts the test will be conducted in Aligarh only. But for B.Tech, Diploma in Engineering, B.A.LL.B. B.Ed. M.B.A./M.B.A.(I.B.)/M.B.A.(I.B.F.) and B.A.(Hons) B.Sc.(Hons) B.Com(Hons), the exam will be conducted across some centers in Aligarh, Kolkata, Lucknow, Patna, Srinagar, Kozhikode, Meerut, Khanapara and Bareilly.

AMU has also clearly specified that it will be opening a form correction window, later on. For which a candidate needs to pay additional charges to make the corrections. So, all the candidates are requested to fill the AMU 2019 Application Forms with extreme care. The signature and the thumb impression files should be of uploaded in JPG format and the size should be between 20KB to 100KB. Candidates are requested to provide correct and working email IDs and contact numbers so that successful registration confirmation can be sent to candidates.

On the basis of the details filled over AMU 2019 Application form, a candidate’s admit card is generated for departmental and other admission tests. AMU 2019 Admit card is released in online mode, over http://www.amucontrollerexams.com. Candidates need to affix a recent passport size photograph and carry a downloaded copy of it to the allotted center. The AMU 2019 admission is conducted in offline mode and will have MCQ type questions, that needs to be attempted. A negative marking scheme of 0.25 marks is applicable on every AMU exam. Note that, for all the medical courses, AMU considers NEET score. So, the admission procedure for all the medical courses is expected to commence only after NEET 2019 counseling.
