All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) will announce the result of MD / MS / DM / MCh entrance exam today, November 22, 2019. When contacted today, the institute officials said that the result will be published in the evening. Tentatively, the AIIMS PG 2019 result for January 2020 session should be available after 5 pm.

That being said, the institute usually publishes results a little later towards the evening. It has been observed in the last few results announced by AIIMS, that announcements usually happen after 6 or 6:30 pm.

The new total number of seats which will be filled through this AIIMS PG result are 546. AIIMS recently revealed the final seat matrix as per which, a total of 28 seats have been added, and 30 are reduced. AIIMS New Delhi, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Jodhpur, Patna, Raipur, and Rishikesh now respectively have 169 seats, 50 seats, 64 seats, 59 seats, 65 seats, 61 seats, and 78 seats.

AIIMS conducted the PG entrance exam on November 17, 2019, for selecting suitable medical graduates for admission to its MD, MS, DM (6 yrs), MCh (6yrs) courses in January 2020 session. The exam was 3 hours long, with 200 multiple choice questions. There were seven different types of questions; such as there were single best response type questions, multiple true-false, match the following, sequential arrangement, multiple completion, reason assertion, extended matching type questions.

Whereas candidates will be getting marks on the basis of the number of correct and incorrect answers in their papers, percentile scores will be generated for the entire exam.

The minimum cut off score in AIIMS PG entrance exam is the 50th percentile.

AIIMS PG result 2020 pdf that will be released today will be a list of all the candidates who are called for counselling. The institute will not publish names of all candidates who get marks more than cut off. A certain number of candidates, like last time it was 8 times the number of seats, will be called for counselling.

The roll number, and rank wise result will indicate who can attend counselling. However, for all others, and also those who are included in counselling, marks will be made available at candidate login a few days later.
