AIIMS PG MD/MS Result for January 2020 session announced; 3623 candidates called for counselling

AIIMS PG result indicates roll number, rank, percentile of candidates who are shortlisted for seat allotment process to MD, MS, DM (6 yrs), MCh (6 yrs), MDS admission in January 2020 session.

AIIMS PG Result

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) announced the result of AIIMS PG entrance examination for Jan 2020 session today, at 2 pm. The institute has published a list of all the candidates who are being called for online seat allocation and counselling. In the list, there are a total of 3,623 candidates from all categories.

To check result, candidates need to visit aiimsexams.org, then go to academic section, and click MD/MS. There, click “Result Notification No.-187/2019- Result of the AIIMS PG Entrance Examination for Jan 2020 Session”. Or check the result here.

Marks of all candidates will be available from tomorrow, at aiimsexams.org. Candidates will need to login to check their marks. 

Mock round of seat allocation or counselling will begin on December 2, 2019. Further schedule regarding the rest of the admission processes will be updated from time to time on the official website. 

AIIMS clarifies in the result pdf that the list does not contain all candidates who have qualified by scoring 50th percentile. Instead, number of candidates equal to 8 times the number of seats have been listed. 

The notification says “This is NOT the complete list of all candidates who have qualified (above 50th percentile) in the above examination. This list only includes those eligible candidates equivalent to 08 times the total number of seats available in all the above AIIMS.” It further adds “This list is Merit wise, NOT Roll Number wise & includes ONLY those candidates who are eligible for ONLINE SEAT ALLOCATION/ COUNSELLING (08 times the total number of seats available in all the above AIIMS). This is not the list of all qualified candidates.”

For unreserved candidates, the last rank of candidate who has been selected for seat allotment to MD, MS, DM 6 yrs, MCh 6 yrs courses is 1884. The last rank in the case of EWS category is 8632. It is 3714 for OBC. For SC, the last rank is 11388. Whereas for ST, it is 22901. 

The qualifying percentile is 50th percentile. However the cut off percentile to be called for counselling has been 96.070 for UR, 81.982 for EWS, 92.250 for OBC, 76.239 for SC, and 52.224 for ST. 

In the case of MDS, the last rank of candidates called for counselling is 56 for UR, 90 for OBC, 370 for SC, and 1258 for ST. The respective cut off percentile are 99.150, 98.599, 94.191, and 80.211. 

The AIIMS PG result file published today also has lists of wait listed candidates. It is also stated there that there will not be any counselling for foreign / sponsored candidates.

Admission to various Postgraduate Courses (MD/MS/DM 6Yrs/M.Ch. 6Yrs/MDS) in AIIMS New Delhi, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Jodhpur, Patna, Raipur & Rishikesh for the January 2020 Session is through Online Seat Allocation/Counselling process of AIIMS, New Delhi. All candidates are requested to familiarize themselves and follow all instructions related to online seat allocation/ counselling.
