All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) New Delhi has released notification for recruitment to the post of Junior Resident (non academic) session January 2020. The session duration is from January 1 to June 30, 2020.
AIIMS invites online applications for AIIMS Junior Resident recruitment 2020 to 194 vacancies in 25 different specialities in level 10 of pay matrix (pre revised pay band 3, Rs 15600 + 5400 GP) with an entry pay of Rs 56,100 per month plus allowances.
The last date to apply online is December 10, 2019. Candidates who will be called for counselling, their names will be displayed at aiims.edu and aiims.ac.in on December 20, 2019 at 4 pm. Counselling has been scheduled for December 24, 2019, 9 AM at Jawaharlal Auditorium, AIIMS.
Maximum vacancies are in emergency medicine, 76, followed by 31 in surgery (trauma center). Emergency medicine (trauma centre) has 12 vacancies. Cardiacradiology, cardiology, CTVS, dermatology and venereology, neurology, radiology (trauma center) have 1 vacancies each. There are 2 vacancies in each of the departments blood bank (trauma center), lab medicine, neuroradiology, rheumatology.
EHS, nephrology, have 3 vacancies in each. There are 4 vacancies each in blood bank, community medicine, orthopaedics (trauma center).5 vacancies each are in blood bank cnc, neurosurgery (trauma centre), paediatrics (casualty). Psychiatry, radiotherapy have 6 vacancies in each. Both burns and plastic surgery, and dental surgery + CDER have 8 vacancies each.
MBBS / BDS degree holders who have completed internship, not earlier than 3 years before the start date of JR are eligible for this residency post. Which means that those who completed MBBS/BDS and internship between January 1, 2019 and December 31, 2019 are only eligible.
It is mandatory to have DMC/DDC registration prior to joining. Also, a candidate can at max get 3 terms. AIIMS graduates get allotment on preferential basis.
AIIMS New Delhi will call candidates equal to 4 times the vacancies from unreserved category, and all candidates from EWS, OBC, SC, ST, PWD category for counselling. First, all MBBS graduates from AIIMS New Delhi fulfilling eligibility criteria will get the junior resident positions. Their merit will be determined on the basis of aggregate score in I and II and final professional exams.
Unfilled seats will be allotted to others. Merit of other candidates will be on the basis of their rank in AIIMS PG entrance exam November 2019.
Selection for AIIMS Junior Resident recruitment 2020 is strictly on the basis of merit. Candidates from rank 1 onwards will be called to exercise their options. In case of absentees, next candidate will called and so on.
Those who have not appeared in AIIMS PG Nov 2019, will be ranked after those who have. Their merit will be either on basis of MBBS percentage if they did from India, OCI/PIO merit will be on the basis of MCI screening exam marks.
