All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) announced result of CMAT 2018 on February 15, 2018, at 7:30 PM. Candidates can log in to check result to know score and rank. All India Rank of Common Management Admission Test will now be used by several AICTE approved MBA/PGDM colleges for admission to academic session 2018-20.

CMAT Result 2018 was announced finally, albeit after a little delay. The candidates who appeared for the exam on January 20, 2018 can now check CMAT result. What has surprised candidates the most is that the result is same as the one they had checked on February 13, 2018 in the leaked result.

How to check AICTE CMAT Result 2018?

  • To check the result, the candidates need to visit the official website and click on the result link.
  • Then one has to enter email ID and password.
  • Click sign in.

Result of CMAT 2018 is declared as scorecard and merit list. Candidates should note that the national and state merit of CMAT are issued separately. Both the merit list will be a pdf, in which the rank, subject wise score, subject wise percentile, overall score, and overall percentile is mentioned.

The national merit list will have details of all the participants, whereas, in the state merit only those candidates will be featured to belong to the respective state.

CMAT Result 2018 Declared

The process to download the CMAT 2018 scorecard is simple. Just access the appropriate CMAT login and enter email id and password. The scorecard has to be downloaded and preserved. Candidates will have to carry it in the further round of admissions.

Last Year, lakhs of students appeared for CMAT but among them, only thousands got passed. According to CMAT All India Merit List of last year, around 59,181 candidates passed the exam. Among them, 2 candidates were there who got overall 100 percentile. Around 594 candidates had scored 90+. So this time the numbers are expected to be increased.

The selected candidates now have to apply for the desired participating institute of CMAT 2018. Then the Institute will shortlist the candidates. The shortlisting process is different for every institute. It will mostly include Group Discussion or Personal Interview but at times, written ability test might also be taken. The rounds will vary from institute to institute.

Usually, the process is that the candidates will be called for the GD first. The candidates selected in GD are then called for PI / WAT. However, few institutes also take GD and PI simultaneously. Some of the best colleges under CMAT are JBIMS, GIM, KJSIMSR, Great Lakes Institute of Management, PUMBA DMA, Xavier Institute of Social Services. The cutoff for these institutes goes from 95 to 99.99 percentile.

Common Management Ability Test (CMAT) is a national level entrance exam. It has been conducted by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). It gives the opportunity to the candidates to get admission in one of the top colleges affiliated with CMAT. It is a computer-based test of three hours. Through CMAT, the candidates are used to be tested in Quantitative Technique, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension and General Awareness.
