Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT), conducted by the Indian Air Force (IAF) is an examination for selecting eligible candidates to join Indian Air Force as a Commissioned Officer. Earlier in the previous week, IAF had announced that AFCAT 2018 application form will be available from December 16 onwards. Currently, the exam organizers have announced through the website that the initiation of the application process is postponed to December, 19. The application process will start at 6 pm in the evening on the mentioned date.

Due to some technical issues the official website careerindianairforce.cdac.in on December 16 was showing “Online Registration will commence soon“ and the application forms were not released on that day. Today, on December 18, IAF has announced that the link of AFCAT application form will be activated on December 19.

Indian Air Force’s Officer-level entry exam is one of the most esteemed examination for the young people and with the formal announcement of Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT 2018) already made, several of them are waiting for the initiation of the online application process. This time a significant change has been introducted in AFCAT; AFCAT 01/2018 will be conducted as a computer based online examination for the very first time in the history.

Indian Airforce Airmen Selection Examination 2018, is another exam conducted by IAF for recruiting airmen, will also be conducted in an online format. Both the exams will be held as a  computer based online examination for the very first time in their history. The candidates declared qualified in the AFCAT are further tested as one of the Air Force Selection Boards (AFSB) before being inducted for the courses. AFCAT 01/2018 will select the candidates for the courses commencing in January 2019.

Like other prominent examinations which include engineering, management admission tests, medical, state board exams, IAF is likely to ask candidates to enter their Aadhaar number to complete the application process of AFCAT 1 2018. The measure is being implemented with most exams this year with an objective to keep track of the candidates until the end of the selection procedure and to maintain transparency.

The last date to apply for AFCAT 1 2018 is set as January 14, 2018, while the exam is scheduled to be held in February. The candidates can opt for Flying Branch, Technical Branch or Non-Technical (Administration, Logistics, Accounts, Education) branch while applying for AFCAT 2018. The candidates should be ready with their active email id, scanned photograph, image and other details to apply for AFCAT 2018 as the AFCAT Candidate Login will be functional soon.

LPUNEST 2021 Application Form

All applicants whose applications are submitted by due date will be called for AFCAT and Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT) at one of the examination centres. The AFCAT will be conducted for two hours and will contain multiple choice questions on numerical ability, verbal ability, general awareness, reasoning and military aptitude. Sample question papers and syllabus of AFCAT/EKT is available on IAF career website. EKT would be for 45 minutes and conducted immediately after AFCAT. It is compulsory for the candidates who are opting for ground duty (technical) branch to pass both AFCAT and EKT.
