Indian Air Force conducted the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) 02/2017 on August 27, 2017. The supplementary examination was then organized on September 17, 2017, and since then the candidates are eagerly waiting for the result. Well, the wait is over. A notice for the announcement of AFCAT 02 Result 2017 has been released.

According to the notice, the result is to be announced on Friday, October 13, 2017. Indian Air Force will upload it on the official website, careerairforce.nic.in, at 12:00. To check the result the candidates will have to click on the provided result link. The result will be announced through a PDF and it will only contain the Roll Numbers of the qualified candidate.

The candidates will be selected according to the cutoff of the examination. The cutoff will also be announced with the result. The AFCAT cutoff for 01/2017 exam was 150/300. Whereas, for AFCAT 01/2016 and 02/2016 was 132 and 148, respectively. The cutoff for EKT is released separately. The EKT 01/2017 cutoff was 60 and in last four years, it has not gone down to 45.

If the Roll Number of the candidates appear on the PDF then they are required to choose AFBS for the Interview and SSB. To do so, the candidates again need to visit the official website and login by entering the E-mail Id and Password. The choice can only be submitted from October 13 to 19, 2017. The booking will close at 11:59 pm, on October 19.

The allotment of AFSB will be done on the first come first served basis. Hence, to get the AFSB of the choice the candidates will have to submit the choices as soon as possible. While choosing the AFSB, the most important factor that the candidates need to keep in my is that it should be near their place. The AFSB centers for Indian Air Force are situated in Dehradun, Mysore, Gandhi Nagar, and Varanasi. The training centers are situated in Hyderabad and Pune.  

During AFSB Interview, the candidates will have to produce AFCAT admit card and photo identity proof. The admit card should be the same as that attested at the exam center. The valid photo id proof can be Passport, Voter Id card, Driving Licence, Aadhaar Card, etc.

SSB will be a 5 days assessment. Day 1 will be the screening test. On Day 2 psychological assessment of the candidates will be done. Day 3 and 4 will be dedicated to group testing and on Day 5 the final assessment will be done. The candidates will be informed about their SSB result on the 5th day. The qualified candidates will be allocated a batch of SSB.

The first batch of SSB will begin from October 30, 2107.  We wish luck to all the candidates. We hope you pass the examination with flying colours. Those who will not make it need not lose hope.
