Now that the Indian Institute of Technology has released JEE Advanced 2019 Examination results today, the registration for Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) also starts today at jeeadv.ac.in. The AAT 2019 Registration is open for only two days, from June 14, 2019, to June 15, 2019, until 5:00 PM.
Only those candidates who have qualified in JEE Advanced 2019 Examination are eligible to appear in the Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) 2019. For joining the B.Arch program in IIT Kharagpur and IIT Roorkee, candidates will have to pass in the AAT 2019 to be held on June 17, 2019.
The AAT 2019 exam will consist of one paper and the syllabus includes Freehand Drawing, Geometric Drawing, Three-Dimensional Perception, Imagination, and Aesthetic Sensitivity and Architectural Awareness. The duration of the paper will be three hours and it will be available only in the English language. The exam will be a pen and paper-based test.
As far as the admit card is concerned, candidates will have to bring the original JEE Advanced 2019 admit card in the AAT examination hall. The candidates have to bring their own drawing and coloring aids.
The result of AAT will be declared on June 21, 2019, on the online portal of JEE Advanced 2019. The candidates who score marks above the cut-off will be declared PASS. This cut-off list will be decided by the Joint Implementation Committee of JEE Advanced 2019. There is no separate cut-off list for the candidates belonging to any category. Also, there are no separate ranks in AAT. The allotment of seats will be determined by the All India Rank in the JEE Advanced 2019.
Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) for the B.Arch program is conducted at seven zonal coordinating IITs. The B.Arch program is available at IIT Kharagpur and IIT Roorkee only. Last year the number of seats offered via AAT at IIT Roorkee was 30 and at IIT Kharagpur it was 40.
