5 Important Points to Check on CAT Admit Card 2018

Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta has released CAT Admit Card 2018. It released the admit card, exactly at 1:00 pm. Admit card of CAT is an important document. Candidates who will produce it on exam day, will only be allowed to appear for the exam. Hence, It is important for the candidates to check and make sure that all the information in the admit card should be correct. So, here are the 9 important points that should be checked in CAT 2018 Admit Card.

But before that, Let us know the 3 important changes in CAT Admit Card 2018

This year, there are few changes in the admit card of CAT. Firstly, instead of Test System Number (TSN) the authorities have given Reference Number. The TSN was to find the computer lab and wing in the exam center. However, now the candidates will have to do so from the reference number. It will be of 10 digits and is given at the bottom of the admit card, before the instruction page.

Second change in the admit card is ‘Google Map Link’. As the technology is advancing, Google is joining hands with various education authorities. One such example is introduction of ‘Google Map Link’ in the CAT admit card. Now, the candidates can easily check the CAT exam center, address, and nearby details by clicking on the link provided in the admit card.

Third change in the admit card of CAT 2018 is the Emergency Contact Number. Before this, IIM has never given any emergency number. This is for the first time that the Institute has done so. Candidates can now call at 9958552285.

#1 Name, is one of the most important things to check in the admit card. Candidates should make sure that the names in the admit card should be the same as that in the photo id proof. #2 Second thing to check is the Registration Number. It is also very important. Candidates should make sure that the registration number mentioned in the CAT admit card matches with that in application form confirmation page.

#3 CAT exam date, time, and session mentioned in the admit card is final. IIM Calcutta will not accept request to change it under any circumstances. The reporting time to reach the exam hall is 7:30 am for the morning shift and 1:00 pm for evening shift. Candidates must reach on time at the allocated center.
