National Testing Agency took the decision to allot the exam dates and slots with the help of a computer software, randomly. The reason for not giving the candidates to opt for their preferred exam city and date is that – soon after the exam has been conducted, NTA releases NTA score which could only be calculated on the basis of equal distribution of candidates in both the shifts. So, it takes the help of the software to allot JEE Main 2019 exam date and shift and the same is printed on the admit card! Each of the shift is of a duration of 3 hours. And NTA advises every candidate to reach an hour before the actual exam commencemnet date.
