National Testing Agency is in no mood to relax security and surveillance at the JEE Main 2019 Exam centers. There will be Jammers at the centers and central monitoring will be done while the exam is going on. The JEE Main 2019 first attempt exam date is January 08, 09, 10, 11 and 12, 2019. The exam will be held in CBT mode and across 273 cities.

The admit card to appear in the JEE Main 2019 exam has been issued on December 17, 2018. Candidates who are yet to download their admit card can visit the website jeemain.nic.in, login and download their admit card.

9.65 lakh candidates have registered to appear in the exam. Prakash Javadekar, Union Human Resources Development Minister, himself has notified that there will be around 40,000 Jammers at the exam centers. This step is taken to ensure that the examinees don’t indulge in any malpractices. Last year, many candidates were reported to use Bluetooth devices and transmitters to cheat in the exam.

Taking security at the exam center a notch up, NTA is installing 1 Jammer for every 24 candidates at the exam centers. This is how NTA wants to execute the plan to reduce and keep in check cheating at the JEE Main 2019 exam centers.

This is the first time ever that JEE Main 2019 exam centers will be shielded against cheating using Jammers. A senior official has also said that the Jammers will ensure that the candidates are not in any sort of hidden connections with the outside source or what so ever. This will also embed the importance of the national level entrance exams among the candidates.

There will be live monitoring of the exam centers too that will be centered at the NTA headquarters at Noida.

On the exam day, the frisking and verification process will be done. NTA thus have asked the candidates to be present at the exam centers 1 hours before the exam start time. Last year, metal detectors were also installed at the centers.

Candidates are thus advised neither to carry any metallic item with them, nor to have any metallic elements on their dresses. Wearing simple clothes is advisable.

JEE Main 2019 paper 1 for B.E./B.Tech admission will be held in all the 5 days – January 08, 09, 10, 11, and 12, 2019 in 2 shifts – 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and then on 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. However, paper 2 for B.Arch/B.Plan admissions will be held on one day only – January 08, 2019 in 2 shifts like the paper 1.

After the exam, unofficial or memory based JEE Main 2019 Answer Keys will be available for the exam. However, the official answer keys, question papers and response sheets will be released by NTA at jeemain.nic.in, 1 week after the exam is complete for all the 5 days.
